“Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.” — Luke 22:3 (KJV)
Today’s Insight
This verse is a sober reminder that proximity to Jesus does not automatically guard the heart. Judas walked closely with Christ, witnessed miracles, and yet allowed his inner life to become a doorway for darkness. It highlights the importance of continual surrender, humility, and vigilance in our spiritual walk.
Luke 22:3 also points to the reality of spiritual influence. Choices we repeatedly entertain—greed, bitterness, pride, or unchecked desire—can slowly harden the heart. God invites us to examine our motives and remain anchored in prayer, repentance, and truth so that our hearts stay aligned with Him.
Prayer for Today
Lord, search my heart and reveal anything that pulls me away from You. Guard my mind and spirit, and help me walk daily in humility and obedience. Strengthen me to choose Your will over every temptation. Amen.
